Liang Pha Cave is located on the western side of Tham Luang-Khun Nam Nang Non-National Park Headquarters (under gazetting) (Assadang, 1995). Formed by land collapse, this cavern now has a huge hole surrounded by a ravine that is 60–80 meters wide and more than 30 meters high. Inside the cave, there are still hundreds of millions of years-old monocle and bivalve fossils. Also, in the past, many serows used to come down from the mountain to drink the rainwater that trickled into this cavern, hence the name "Liang Pha Cave."
