Mae Yian Waterfall - Doi Luang National Park

General Information

Mae Yian Waterfall is a steep waterfall with crystal clear water available all year. The waterfall descends in layers like an elephant’s ivory from an elevation of around 1,000 meters above mean sea level. Its surrounding forest is a tropical rain forest, with distinctive Dipterocarpaceae . Starting in Phayao Province, visitors go approximately 7 kilometers to Chiang Rai Province (at the milestone No. 689th) and turn left onto Highway No. 1127. Then, continue along Highway No. 1193 to the milestone No. 26th–27th, where visitors can find the intersection leading to the waterfall, which requires additional 10 kilometers.
