Thaen Phra Sang Waterfall is classified under the same group of Mae Pan Waterfall, a group of waterfalls flowing in series. It is located on Highway No. 108 (Chiang Mai-Hot), 5 kilometers from Mueang Chiang Mai District. Visitors turn right onto Highway No. 1009 (Chom Thong – Doi Inthanon) after the milestone No. 58th and continue for approximately 39 kilometers. At an intersection to Mae Chaem District, take the left one onto the Doi Inthanon-Mae Chaem route and continue for approximately 10 kilometers to reachthe first checkpoint –where visitors pay the entrance fee for Doi Inthanon (if not visiting the Doi Inthanon summit, visitors can inform the security staff that they are “going to Mae Chaem” for the fee exemption). The second checkpoint is approximately 30 kilometers from the first one. To reach Huai Sai Lueang Waterfall, visitors must turn left into Mae Chaem District for approximately 6 kilometers, turn right into National Park Ranger Station O No No. 2 (Mae Chaem), and continue for approximately 2 kilometers. To reach Mae Pan Waterfall, visitors must park their cars at the Huai Sai Lueang Waterfall parking lot and walk for approximately 10 minutes.
